The comfort of the support around the ankle joint is provided by the round structure of the bamboo fibres which are non-irritating and don't crease when worn. The product helps to support and protect the joint and surrounding soft tissue during activity and exercise.

The unique composition and intricate weaving techniques used in the production of the ankle support help apply a comfortable yet critical level of compression. The yarn also has a cross section filled with micro gaps which allows the fabric to breath and eliminate sweat build up during use like running, all while continuing to provide you support while being worn.

Bamboo charcoal supports have been scientifically proven to increase blood flow by 40% more than ordinary supports. Enhancing performance while dramatically decreasing your recovery and rehabilitation periods. TTRI 2006

When can I use the ankle support?

The ankle joint is vital in almost any form of activity like running and walking and for those suffering with sprained ankles, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, achilleas tendon issues or arthritis which without support and compression can cause discomfort and pain.

The Bearhug ankle supports provide runners, walkers and athletes with an effective way to support their foot, heel and lower calf, while increasing blood flow and reducing aches, pains, inflammation and swelling from achilles tendon, arthritis, running and sprain injuries.

The Bearhug bamboo ankle support provides compression to the lower leg and achilles tendon increasing blood flow, enhancing performance, assisting with rehabilitation and recovery while providing pain relief for conditions like sprained ankles, tendonitis and arthritis which can come from running and walking.

The ankle support can be used to accelerate recovery and rehabilitation from running and walking ankle sprain, foot injury, achilles tendon strain with the bamboo properties increasing blood flow. This increased blood flow from the compression, support and bamboo help provide pain relief from arthritis and sprain joint soreness.

How does the ankle sleeve work?

Bearhug use bamboo charcoal in a unique composition within their Ankle supports. Bamboo charcoal supports have been scientifically proven to increase blood flow through the joint, foot and achilles tendon compared to ordinary supports.

This increased blood flow drives oxygenated blood to the ankle joint flushing out any toxins in the foot which helps your ligaments, tendons and soft tissue repair quicker while providing pain relief and reducing inflammation and swelling for activities like running and walking.

    Invisible support!

It’s so comfortable I often forget I am wearing it. It also gives me piece of mind when I am running that I won’t roll my ankle any more.

Glad we can give you your confidence back Fiona, Welcome to the Pack!

    Fantastic support

Severe ankle sprain was preventing me from enjoying my running. So glad I found this support, it works a treat, feels comfortable on and I can enjoy my runs without having to R.I.C.E afterwards!

Awesome news Vikki! Glad to hear we could help you keep enjoying your running.

    Ankle, calf and knee

Bought set of three, the calf and ankle snug fit as measured, the knee a little tight, but ok.
Used the ankle for hike and cycle and very pleased - it was barely noticeable, and added the low level support i hoped for.
The calf is snug, and very supportive, stays in place, very happy with this.
The knee, I measured and chose the XL, but its a little tight i feel, but ok, since this is the one that would be likely to slip if not snug. It definetly transfers load around the knee to above and below, but beware therefore the effect on the thigh/quad/bands/groin as a result.I need to be careful with this one.
    Overall very happy!

Thank you for the awesome review Dafydd!

    Pain Free Support

Having suffered an ankle injury back in 2013 - and despite 2 arthroscopic surgeries - I’ve always struggled with impact activities.

Since using the ankle support my exercise time and intensity has gradually increased with the only variable being this bamboo compression!

Looking forward to what the future holds with Bearhug!

    Thanks for the review Kyle!
I'm glad we've been able to help you on your road to recovery.
