I started getting a really tight ankle and turns out it was insertional achilles tendinopathy. I did some research and it suggested an ankle brace. I was dubious but was really surprised how comfortable my first run back was, using the Bearhug! It has gotten me back on track with training and feels really good to be back running!

When I first bought bearhug ankle supports, I didn’t get the hype. I contacted them and they suggested the size I’d bought was too big. I sent it back and they swapped it for a smaller size. The difference was incredible. I’ve worn lots of different supports over the year, but now I don’t go for a run with out my bearhug support. They last ages, although getting my new pair, makes me realise how much I put the last pair through!

I have 4 different knee supports, but this is by far the best support my knees have had. My TKR has been cancelled 4 times for various reasons, that I decided I was going to find another option. I bought a pair of trainers with great cushioning for my ankle and knee, and the added Bearhug supports are helping me unbelievably after trying others. It holds my meniscus in place , which has stopped my knee wobble and caused me to fall. Fingers crossed I can keep my knees! I’m 76 so no need to rush around!
After a few wears its frayed and has a hole , it was super supportive but has lost a bit , maybe its having to wear them with shoes and socks and friction has done it as my knee ones are still super

After doing some ligament damage to my ankle (going over on a tree root to the side) I needed a support especially with a few hikes in the diary. I ordered the Bearhug ankle support and it does give in the case my ankle a hug. My ankle feels supported in it My only feedback would be the hem that goes around the foot within the shoe could use being a lot smoother, I struggle to run with the support on as it creates a pressure point across the top of my foot. For the walking and hiking that I do it is fine. I would recommend this product but I would like to see as suggested a smoother hem.
